Program Summary
The Department of Labor's Workforce Recruitment Program is a resource connecting public and private sector employers nationwide with highly motivated post-secondary students and recent college graduates with disabilities. The program is co-sponsored by the Department of Labor and the Department of Defense.
Each year, from the first week of October through the second week of November, trained federal government recruiters interview more than 2,200 students at colleges and university campuses across the country. From these interviews, a password protected website is developed listing each student's qualifications. The website goes live at the beginning of December and is good for one year. In order to be hired through the WRP, students must be listed in the WRP website.
Eligibility Criteria
Students interested in participating must work through their school. College Career Counselors and disability services coordinators interested in scheduling a recruitment trip to their school should contact wrp@dol.gov in the spring.
