The McCain Fellowship Cohort 5 (2024-2025) application period has now closed. The application was open from Monday, June 17th, 2024 through Monday, July 8th, 2024.
Applicants may track the progress of their application via their USAJOBS account by clicking the Track This Application link. Through USAJOBS, applicants will be notified of the status of their applications throughout the process and may be contacted directly for additional information or for an interview. If selected, applicants will be contacted personally by the human resources office.

Important Notice: The recent legislative changes enacted by the Fiscal Year 24 National Defense Authorization Act (FY 24 NDAA) should be considered by applicants when they apply for the program. The FY 24 NDAA has removed the requirement for reserved positions within the sponsoring components and the provision allowing for Components to utilize a post-fellowship non-competitive hiring authority for conversion. These requirements have been replaced with language identifying the Department should seek to provide participants who successfully complete the fellowship program with competitive and excepted service opportunities.
