WHS provides resources to facilitate team collaboration. Teams stay connected using a variety of tools including email and video conferencing.

Identity Protection and Management

WHS provides comprehensive Identity Protection & Management (IPM) support to our DoD customers. Support services focus primarily on the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Common Access Card (CAC) systems. For Additional information, visit the Identity Protection and Management website.

Information Security Training and Education Programs

WHS provides training to employees and customers about proper use of information safeguarding resources. WHS employees and customers receive free training through computer-based training (CBT) and web-based training (WBT) courses.

Information Systems Certification and Accreditation/Risk Management

WHS analyzes and approves IT configurations to protect and enable information access, creation, and processing. Information systems within the DoD undergo security accreditation using the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Privacy Impact Assessments

WHS conducts Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to ensure information handling conforms to applicable legal, regulatory, and policy requirements regarding privacy. PIAs are used to determine the risks and effects of collecting, maintaining, and disseminating information in identifiable form in an electronic information system. PIAs are also used to examine and evaluate protections and alternative processes for handling information to mitigate potential privacy risks.

Security Assessments

WHS conducts periodic and continuous audits of information technology operations to ensure compliance with appropriate security policies, procedures, and practices.


WHS administers telecommunications services and provides multiple device options for customers who require access to phone, voicemail, and/or basic internet capabilities off-site.

Video Teleconferencing

WHS provides customers with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) services, maintenance, and equipment to enable worldwide audio/video communication anytime, anywhere.

Workstation Support

WHS provides customers with desktop computers, laptops, installation services, e-mail, software, network drives and printers, file storage, and problem resolution through service desk support.
