Joint Service Provider

Joint Service Provider (JSP) provides the full range of information technology equipment, services, solutions, and customer support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Office of the Deputy Chief Management Officer, and WHS to meet mission and business requirements. The Director of Joint Service Provider is Ms. Lytwaive Hutchison.

Services
Collaboration

WHS provides resources to facilitate team collaboration. A variety of tools are available for teams to remain connected; from e-mail to video conferencing capabilities.

Identity Protection and Management

WHS provides comprehensive Identity Protection & Management (IPM) support to our DoD customers. Support services are primarily focused on the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Common Access Card (CAC) systems.

Information Security Training and Education Programs

WHS provides training to employees and customers to ensure that procedures are properly utilized to safeguard information resources. Training is provided free of charge to WHS employees and customers through Computer Based Training (CBT) and Web Based Training (WBT) courses.

Information Systems Certification and Accreditation/Risk Management

WHS analyzes and approves IT configurations to protect and enable information access, creation, and processing. Information systems within the DoD undergo security accreditation using the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Privacy Impact Assessments

WHS conducts Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to ensure information handling conforms to applicable legal, regulatory, and policy requirements regarding privacy. PIAs are used to determine the risks and effects of collecting, maintaining and disseminating information in identifiable form in an electronic information system. PIAs are also used to examine and evaluate protections and alternative processes for handling information to mitigate potential privacy risks.

Security Assessments

WHS conducts periodic and continuous audits to ensure that information technology operations are compliant with appropriate security policies, procedures, and practices.

Telecommunications

WHS administers telecommunications services, and provides multiple device options for customers who require access to phone, voicemail, and/or basic internet capabilities off-site.

Video Teleconferencing

WHS provides customers with VTC services, maintenance, and equipment to enable worldwide audio/video communication anytime, anywhere.

Workstation Support

WHS provides customers with a range of services that include desktop computers, laptops, installation services, e-mail, software, network drives and printers, file storage, and service desk support.

Brigadier General Brian T. Dravis is Director, Joint Service Provider, Director, JIE Technical Synchronization Office (JTSO), and Mobilization Assistant to the Director at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Fort Meade, MD. For the Joint Service Provider, he serves as the Director of a 2500+ personnel organization tasked with consolidations of all information technology (IT) Services and Cyber Security of the Pentagon and National Capital Region. As the JTSO Director, he is responsible for leading architectural engineering and design to develop the Department of Defense's Joint Information Environment (JIE). JIE will synchronize current and future architectures, engineering designs, enterprise services, information capability enhancement, and applications. As the Mobilization Assistant to the Director, he is responsible for organizing, directing, and managing the DISA and Joint Forces Headquarters and all assigned resources to ensure the organizations are postured to meet wartime mobilization, contingency support, and disaster relief requirements.

 

Official photo of the Deputy Director, Enterprise IT Services Directorate: Ms. Lytwaive L. HutchinsonMrs. Lytwaive L. Hutchinson serves as Deputy Director of the Joint Service Provider (JSP). In accordance with the Deputy Secretary of Defense Memo of May 2015, Mrs. Hutchinson is charged with consolidating and integrating Information Technology (IT) services across multiple organizations in the Pentagon and throughout the National Capital Region. She manages an annual budget of over $470 million and manages end-to-end IT and customer services.

Prior to her selection as Deputy Director of the JSP, Mrs. Hutchinson served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Director of the Enterprise Information Technology Services Directorate for Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). As the CIO, she developed, maintained, and facilitated the implementation of a sound and integrated IT infrastructure across the OSD, Pentagon Force Protection Agency, and WHS enterprise. Ms. Hutchinson was charged with an annual IT budget of over $330 million, managed enterprise-wide IT programs and initiatives, and was the executive authority on the proper utilization of IT capabilities, resources, and systems. She provided policy, direction, standards, enforcement, and oversight for all Pentagon enterprise Common Information Technology (CIT) activities. Mrs. Hutchinson ensured that enterprise CIT concepts, architectures, implementations, and services were consistent with Federal guidance, DoD directives, strategic goals, and department-wide programs.

She entered Federal Government service in June 2002 and was appointed into Senior Executive Service in December 2010. Beyond her career with the Federal Government, Mrs. Hutchinson proudly served her country for 21 years on active duty with the United States Army, attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Three. Mrs. Hutchinson’s military decorations include the Legion of Merit and the Meritorious Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements.

Mrs. Hutchinson holds a Master’s of Science degree in Quality Systems Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. She is also a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute and Harvard Business School for Executive Education.
