The Enterprise Information Technology Services Directorate (EITSD) provides the full range of information technology equipment, services, solutions, and customer support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Office of the Director of Administration and Management, and WHS to meet mission and business requirements. The Director of the Enterprise Information Technology Services Directorate is Ms. Lytwaive Hutchison.

WHS provides resources to facilitate team collaboration. A variety of tools are available for teams to remain connected; from e-mail to video conferencing capabilities.
Identity Protection and Management
WHS provides comprehensive Identity Protection & Management (IPM) support to our DoD customers. Support services are primarily focused on the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Common Access Card (CAC) systems.
Information Security Training and Education Programs
WHS provides training to employees and customers to ensure that procedures are properly utilized to safeguard information resources. Training is provided free of charge to WHS employees and customers through Computer Based Training (CBT) and Web Based Training (WBT) courses.
Information Systems Certification and Accreditation/Risk Management
WHS analyzes and approves IT configurations to protect and enable information access, creation, and processing. Information systems within the DoD undergo security accreditation using the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Privacy Impact Assessments
WHS conducts Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to ensure information handling conforms to applicable legal, regulatory, and policy requirements regarding privacy. PIAs are used to determine the risks and effects of collecting, maintaining and disseminating information in identifiable form in an electronic information system. PIAs are also used to examine and evaluate protections and alternative processes for handling information to mitigate potential privacy risks.
WHS conducts periodic and continuous audits to ensure that information technology operations are compliant with appropriate security policies, procedures, and practices.
WHS administers telecommunications services, and provides multiple device options for customers who require access to phone, voicemail, and/or basic internet capabilities off-site.
WHS provides customers with VTC services, maintenance, and equipment to enable worldwide audio/video communication anytime, anywhere.
WHS provides customers with a range of services that include desktop computers, laptops, installation services, e-mail, software, network drives and printers, file storage, and service desk support.
Lytwaive Hutchinson was appointed the Director, EITSD, following the merger of the Information Technology Management Directorate in May 2011. She was named the Deputy OSD Chief Information Officer of the OSD Networks Directorate in July 2014. She entered Federal government civilian service in June 2002 after proudly serving her country for 21 years on active duty with the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Three.

Ms. Hutchinson holds a Master of Science in Quality Systems Management and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. She is also a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute and Harvard Business School for Executive Education.
