The Commission on the National Guard and
Reserves was established by
Public Law 108-375, 108th Congress, October 28, 2004. The Commission is
covered in section 513 of the law. The legislation directs the Commission to
study the roles and missions of the National Guard and Reserves as well as
compensation and benefits, including healthcare, provided to the members of
the Reserve components.
National Guard and Reserves Resource Guide was
compiled by the Pentagon Library, Office of the Secretary of Defense
Historians, and National Guard Bureau Librarian and Historian.
All books, periodicals, and documents are
available at the Pentagon Library or may be accessed via the Internet.
