United Nations
The United Nations is an international organization committed to peace, respect for treaties and international law, social progress, tolerance, and economic and social advancement of all peoples.
UN Oil for Food
The United Nations Oil-for-Food Program has been described
as both a tremendous success and a dismal failure. While the
program did improve the humanitarian situation in Iraq, it also
permitted Saddam Hussein to steal from his own people billions
of dollars that were desperately needed.
World Bank
The World Bank is an organization that serves as source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. The World Bank is not a bank in the common sense but consists of two development institutions owned by 186 member countries: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA).
