The primary parking surfaces of the parking parcel on Columbia Pike were removed. Removal of the man-made improvements from land formerly occupied by the parking parcel and gas station is progressing well.

A fence has been erected around the primary parking parcel on Columbia Pike and the former gas station area. Work has begun on the removal of the parking surfaces in the Navy Annex parking lot by milling the pavement in preparation for removal of all of the man-made improvements from the land.
On November 15, 2012, Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), along with all stakeholders and partners, held a Navy Annex Demolition Community Meeting to provide further details of the project plan and address any concerns expressed by residents of the Foxcroft Heights community. WHS remains committed to providing the latest information to the community throughout the project's duration to minimize inconveniences to residents.
Throughout the project's duration, relevant information and updates will be posted to the Navy Annex Land Transfer website, to include a demolition schedule. In addition, ongoing outreach efforts will address questions and concerns from members of the community.
