Executive and Political Personnel

• Plans, develops, organizes, and provides personnel advisory services on resource
  
  management, staffing activities, and performance management for Senior Executive
  
  Service (SES), Scientific and Professional (ST) and Senior Level (SL) positions within
  
  the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Defense Agencies and the DoD
  
  Field Activities.
  
  
• Manages the appointment of Non-Career SES and Schedule C employees.
  
  
• Handles the personnel actions dealing with Consultants and Experts; employees in
  
  positions under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act; reimbursable and non-
  
  reimbursable details; and details of DoD personnel outside the Department.
